Growing up in a small town in the middle of California might not be the place you’d expect to find a growing EDM and dance music scene, then again, Resso isn’t your typical DJ either. Hailing from the desert badlands of California, Killian Devine grew up on punk rock and a driving desire for music at an early age. By the age of 4 he was playing the piano and playing live for hundreds of family and friends. Twelve later years, he got introduced to the energetic world of dance music through a couple of LA native friends. Inspired to get busy with his newfound passion, Kilian picked up a copy of FL studio and hasn’t looked back since. Using the alias ‘Resso’, Killian blends the hard-hitting style of bass music with the finer melodic elements of house music, creating a blend of sound and emotion. With an EP and several single releases under his belt, Killian seeks to expand the boundaries of dance music and bring an sounds with an edge and message to the world. Eager to start up his own following while attending University at Middle Tennessee State, Killian has played dozens of house shows, concert venues, and campus parties all across the Murfreesboro area. From the stages of club venues to the intimate setting of local house shows, Resso’s energetic style and inspiring sounds bring an intense vibe to every crowd he comes in contact with, and gives them an experience to remember.
DJ BASSEL
Originally from Damascus, Syria, DJ BASSEL has been captivating EDM lovers throughout the USA since 2009. DJ BASSEL has played alongside artists such as Flux Pavilion, Skrillex, Flosstradamus, Downlink, High Rankin, Heroes X Villains, Mark Instinct, Goldie, Doctor P, Big Gigantic, Yelawolf and many more, solidifying his reputation for bringing the heaviest hitters in the Bass music scene to Tennessee.
DJ BASSEL’s production includes Trap and Dubstep. The success of the many events that BASSEL has executed visibly illustrates in the number of plays on fan favorite sites such as SoundCloud and YouTube. This has ultimately made BASSEL a recognized name throughout the South East.
PISTOL PLAY
Henry Johnson, better known by his alias “Pistol Play,” is a 20-year-old electronic music producer from Bellevue, Tennessee who currently lives in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He started on his audio production career in 2010 by downloading a demo of Fruity Loops Studio 10 and simply messing around, not having a serious direction in music.
After developing a very early, rough sound in 2011 with electronic music influence under the alias “jaks,” his identity in the electronic music scene sparked and already gained a small following by a community online. After 3 years, Johnson decided to end his career under the name jaks to find a new alias to fit his new sound.
He went through a few different side-project and filler names, until his long-time music friend Ashton Abshire (better known as the rapper “Conflict”) helped him find the name Pistol Play. Under the name Pistol Play, Johnson was able to really define his own style of music that is very noticeable.
Through the almost 7 full years that Johnson has been in music: he’s played many shows, posted a lot of music, and seeks a dream of having a full career as a touring, performing DJ and producer.
